In the 19th-century abolitionist movement and UGRR, I’ll attach a bit of information I’ve collected regarding my 4x great grandfather, Charles Osborn [1775-1850], who was an early abolitionist who followed the path of Quaker migration as you’ve presented it and, in Ohio, published the abolitionist newspaper The Philanthropist. He then moved on to east central Indiana, where he established the Quaker town of Economy. I have yet to discover if the town was a station on the UGRR, but I wouldn’t be surprised. I’ll include a timeline for Charles; the newspaper article has some inaccuracies. His biography was published in 1854: Journal of That Faithful Servant of Christ, Charles Osborn. Containing an Account of Many of His Travels and Labors in the Work of the Ministry, etc. Published by Achilles Pugh, printer, in Cincinnati, Ohio. (BTW, this Charles Osborn is distantly related (the ancestors in the 1700s) to Osa Osborn Bricker as well.)
